An Analysis of the Challenges and Prospects of Tourism Sector of CHT: A Study on Khagrachari

Tourism is the most emerging industry in world. Before pandemic, it was very much growing. It has a great contribution to national GDP as well global GDP. According World Travel and Council (WTTC), 2019 tourism sectors have contributed 10.4% of which equal US$ 9.2 trillion Gross Domestic Product (GDP) whereas 2020 5.5% 4.7 (GDP). In created 334 million jobs were total employment but 2020, 62 lost, representing drop 18.5%, leaving just 272 employed across sector globally. been found out that during 2014-2019, 1 every 4 net new world travel field only 11 created. This research paper conducted on problems prospects khagrachari one hill districts Chittagong tracts (CHT). Khagrachari popular attractive tourist destination for both domestic foreign tourists. The challenges researchers had through this are Transportation facilities, Electricity service, accommodation Security, interest local tourists, Condition roads highways, internet Tourist guides, information regarding spots. Besides, tribal foods, bridges under construction, opportunity, Income level, Standard living, Crime reduction, beautification, economic development.
